Brian and I were supposed to be out of town this weekend. Our trip was cancelled due to hurricane Matthew and I’m super grateful we’re safe here at home tonight.
Tonight before your head hits the pillow, please say a prayer for those that have been impacted and for all of those that have suffered unimaginable loss. God, please reach down and send help, calm and restoration.
One of our great friends from church was scheduled to keep the girls while we were away. She’s seriously another level of amazing because she already had #funfriday planned with a visit to one of our local coffee shops to meet a princess and make crowns and wands!!
I can’t even stop smiling! But, I’m not really sure what she’s doing with her hand like that???
I guess that’s a princess thing and I just wouldn’t understand since I’m not a princess. I’m a queen, y’all!!
What a fun time making crafts and being all girly! MegMeg, you are the best! We love you so much and are beyond thankful you’re part of our lives.
And thank you to Madison’s Coffee House in Hemby Bridge for the fun event!
And I’m pretty sure this is why they love you so much:
They’re all like, “Smile for mom – we’ve got all this sugar and she can’t do anything about it!!”
Oh, but just like Cinderella – being a princess isn’t all fun and games and sugar and crowns and wands. No, no.
I spent the day at home working and cleaning and laundering and adulting. And the piles of clean clothes awaited them as they dismounted their pumpkin carriage.
Even a princess has to fold and put away laundry. Better you girls learn that while you’re young.
Here’s the real Kylie:
Meanwhile, the laundry is almost caught up and I’m one happy mom tonight!
Happy weekending to you, friends!
Check out your local coffee shops and community centers for fun themed kid activities. Sometimes there is a minimal charge, but many events are free! We love to take advantage of things like this to keep fun Friday easy and simple. Also, kids are never too young to help with laundry. Never.
