#trashouttuesday / over the door clutter holder

the daily Starr trash out tuesday

I’ve REALLY been working on getting our house organized. It’s a slowwww process, one day at a time.

Several of my blog readers + my mom have recommended me finding one of these over the door hanging systems to store random items we use most often – easily hidden and yet accessible.

I finally found one I love that didn’t break the bank!

Oh yes, 15 pockets + a pretty teal color + easily hangs over the door with included hooks!!

Target for the win, $12.99.

I’ve been tweaking the downstairs under the stairs closet I started last week and that’s where I installed the new over the door clutter holder.

I’ve included items that get stuck here and there and we can never seem to find them when they are needed. Things like candle lighters, candle oil, hot hands, sunscreen, bug spray, a spare hairbrush, extension cords, those little felt pieces that go under chairs.

These items are a great start, but I’m sure I’ll tweak the pockets based on what we use and how often.

The inside of the closet is coming along nicely – I’ve added a few shelves I found around the house, seriously having to fight the urge to buy something at the store. Brian should be proud.

Once I can get through our endless supply of paper towels, I’ll have even more room for organized beautifulness.

For now, I’m just happy you can see the floor!

The inside of closet doors is a great space to utilize for a hanging system or a rack to hang items on. My featured over the door pocket system came from Target in the home organization department for $12.99.
