#makeovermonday / the evolution of our messy pantry

Over a month ago, we transformed our messy pantry.

Typical before – no one was allowed to ever open our pantry door when visiting:

And after we got organized – for the first time in FOREVER:

I’m happy to report that it’s been over a month and it STILL looks like this!

I may be most surprised that the organization has lasted this long.

One reader commented on how it might be hard to remember what goes in the larger buckets. That was a great suggestion. While I have no trouble knowing what should go there (since I’m the one that sorted it all in the first place), no one else in my family really has a clue as to what should be where.

Introducing LABELS!!!!

Oh, yes. We have pantry labels. The end of the world is near.

I love these rings – they have them at the Dollar Tree and they work perfectly to hang cards on those larger bins.

I’m thrilled with our pantry system so far and it is really working for our family. Adding these labels helps everyone know so they can help put things away!

  • Have you ever tried buckets or bins in your pantry? Grab a few and see how you like them.
  • Back to school shopping time is the best to get great deals on bins and containers.
  • Rings can be purchased at the dollar store to help with bins that don’t hold tape easily.
  • Pre-made card packs can add beauty to your organization. These cards came from a set at Ollie’s for less than $1.
