* blog closed for germs *

There have only been a few instances over the past 2 years that have kept me from coming to my little space on the internet each night called the Daily Starr.

Sickness has been the main thing that keeps me away – and I’ve decided this:

Germs are of the devil.

Can I get an AMEN?

Almost 3 weeks ago our little Brock came down with the Hand, Foot and Mouth virus. This is something we’ve never experienced in our household and let me tell y’all – it was something awful.

My sister Joy was lucky enough to catch the virus on her 16th birthday (wasn’t that a great birthday present from Brock?) and just when I thought we’d gotten over it all…

Yours truly is the latest victim.

Supposedly this stuff is running rampant in our area. So, if you find yourself with a sudden fever, feeling like you’ve been run over by a truck and then a day later with tiny blisters appearing all over your body – not just your hand, foot and mouth – then, you’re just as lucky as me.

There was no #makeovermonday yesterday and instead of doing #trashouttuesday – I’m sitting curled up in a recliner watching the Olympics.

Our family would so appreciate your prayers – especially for these germs to be confined. I guess God needed me to slow down this week and get some rest. And since I’m as stubborn as a mule, this is usually the only way I’ll truly listen.

I’ll be back soon.

Until then, watch this quick video on fun ways to tie a scarf. You’re welcome.

    • Thank you, Pookie. I’m sitting here thinking about all of the people you guys help and how many have lost everything. Makes me thankful that all I have is a little virus to slow me down for a few days. Seeing the news certainly puts things in perspective! Love you!

  1. Abba, I lift up Starr and her entire family. Father you are the Great Physician and they need your healing touch. Let each day bring with it your hand of loving kindness and healing. I thank you for hearing this prayer and we give you all the praise for your healing touch. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen
