I read a post from Lysa TerKeurst a few weeks ago that I haven’t been able to get off my mind.
With all the craziness in our world and so much grief, it’s hard to know what to say sometimes. Just today – another attack in France. There are no words.
I know one thing: I don’t want to give packaged Christian answers.
I don’t want to say things that make people question my Jesus. Lord, let my words reflect wisdom and compassion.
That’s exactly what Lysa shares in her post, “Please Don’t Give Me a Christian Answer “
I love the scripture they shared in the bottom of the devotion. This is so simple, yet so easy to forget when we’re wanting to say just the right thing.
Romans 12:15-16a, “Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another.” (NIV)
