Yesterday we kicked off our 1st annual Haigler Family Camp 2016!
Our Theme: Do Life BIG!
Family Camp continued today as we celebrated BIG!
One of our small local towns, Unionville, held their annual 4th of July celebration today – on July 2nd…
This is the first time in 5 years we’ve actually enjoyed watching a parade and rides and snow cones! We’re usually IN the parades with our business truck and trailer. We took a much needed break this year and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The girls rode magic carpet slides (or maybe burlap carpet rides, use your imagination people).
And then real horses that had adorable bows in their hair. Patriotic Ponies should be their name.
Whew, y’all. It was a HOT day out there.
Brock and I found shade as much as possible.
It was time for the big parade. We were lucky to find a non-crowded area of the street and a little hill under a tree where Brock and I still had a view of the tractors, firetrucks and horses. I know from experience that one should sit towards the BEGINNING of a parade route – because they always run out of candy at the end. I should know, because we always do!!! Hahah
He entertained me with his faces.
Before leaving, our girls caught a ride on “The Great & Honorable Express.”
I still can’t figure out what all those random letters mean on that back train car.
We ended our BIG celebration day of Family Camp by joining my parents for their 41st Anniversary dinner!
41 years – can you believe it?? Wow. That’s a LOT of love ❤
Brian’s parents and sister joined us for dinner and Brock loves his Maw-Maw.
I want to foster an environment of celebrating the big and small with our kids. Life is too short not to celebrate, right? It doesn’t matter if you’re in small town USA or sitting around the table at home, celebrate the moments God has given us today!
“Life should not only be lived, it should be celebrated.” – Osho
What can you celebrate with your family today?
Encouragement for the day
