#slowitdownSunday / we interrupt this blog…

It’s Sunday. And honestly, I’ve been anything but slow.

In fact, the last 3 hours were spent at break neck speeds to get suitcases packed, checklists managed, bathrooms cleaned and a crazy mad dash to the airport.

This is us. Right now. 8:25pm.

We almost missed this flight we’re sitting on. I thought take off was 8:50. It was 8:15. We came within 5 minutes of not being able to check in because of the time cut off before departure.

Yep.

This is the life we lead πŸ™‚

I’ve wrestled with mentioning our trip on this blog. I’ve watched other people that travel and how they talk about trips and blah blah blah.

I don’t want to be that person. At all.

Please know my heart.

We are going to Israel. I still can’t believe it. This was the most random and COMPLETLEY unplanned trip of my life.

I’ll share more about how this all came about in the coming days. You won’t see any makeovers or decluttering over the next two weeks.

You might not even see daily posts. I’m going to be writing as I’m able.

My goal is to share this trip with you guys and to share what God is teaching us in this season.

Meanwhile, we left 3 kiddos at home with an army of some of the most amazing people on this planet. There is a spreadsheet outlining the strategy plan for our kids. Really!!

Today was especially hard. Not only were we rushing to finish up the millions of to-dos, but Kylie decided to have some Kylie moments.

The past 2 years with her have been hard. Really hard. Those that know us well, know that I’m not stretching the truth. This season of parenting with her has been one of the most difficult things I’ve ever faced.

I read this quick article tonight from another blogger entitled “Changing Me Because I Can’t Change Them”

Yes, Lord. Change me. Teach me. Show me Your plan through Kylie.

Our plane is moving now so I better wrap this one up.

Talk soon, friends!
