Earlier last week, it looked like this after I collected the remaining Christmas trees from around the house.
I put away Christmas 2015 and the hallway was just so plain. Those decor items have been in place for the past 5-7 years and I felt like it was time for a change. We need a space that is more functional for our family.
So at midnight, I started putting blankets under furniture and moving things around while everyone else slept. Literally.
Aren’t they so stinkin’ cute?
Brian woke up while I was sliding things across the floor. He just rolled his eyes and told me to go to bed. I don’t listen very well 🙂
For today’s #makeovermonday I introduce to you our new family homework corner by the barn doors!
I shopped the house and collected these items from our current stash – I didn’t buy a single thing!! Wooohooo!!
This old cedar chest belonged to Glennie the Great – and it is currently full of her glass dishes :/
My goal is to clean it out and store toys for the kiddos.
This desk was in an abandoned house and had writing all over it. This desk was actually the VERY FIRST makeover monday featured on this blog!
The lamp shade is one I found on clearance last year for $7. Same as the one I used in our bedroom on the green dresser.
The flowers are all from the dollar store!
The big frame with chicken wire is something my mom created all about our family!
It features all of our Tennessee family and the major events of 2015 – including a little frame with everyone’s birthdays listed.
This family rules board is from Cracker Barrel.
The desk is functional with pencils, pens, etc.
The girls love it!
And Brock almost made the photo! ha
Dinner tonight was half cooked, half delivery! We love Domino’s thin and crispy pizza. I paired that with green peas and butternut squash.
Brian said, and I quote, “Veggies with pizza is against international food laws!”
I rather enjoyed the veggies and pizza!
Encouragement for the Day
