Earlier this week, I shared our very first episode of Life with the Pastor –
It was all about our dad as a tribute for his birthday!
You may have heard me mention 1 simple thing about my mom, the Pastor’s wife.
She’s the peacemaker.
That’s the perfect word to describe my mom.
One quality I admire is that she is ALWAYS the same person – no matter where you meet her; at home, at work, at church, at the grocery store.
She is humble. She is quiet. She is simply amazing.
Most Sundays you can find her behind the scenes – playing the piano, singing in the choir, teaching a Sunday school class.
Her faithfulness and gentle spirit is exactly what God gave our family, including my dad, to bless our church family.
How about your Pastor’s wife? Have you noticed her lately? Have you built her up lately?
“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
This blog post from Imperfectly Brave made me smile and jump up and down saying, “Yes, Yes, YES!”
How about we all do this 1 thing for our Pastor’s wives this week?
Build Her Up
Give her a call.
Send her a card.
Take her flowers.
Offer to cook Sunday dinner and send home with her.
Ask how you can help at church.
Be a friend.
Believe me, coming from a Pastor’s kid – I KNOW she will be so very thankful.
Encouragement for the day:
In case you missed it; this week on the blog…
