It’s #funfriday and we’re preparing for next week around our house – Teacher Appreciation Week!
Somehow, we started making wreaths for our teachers this year and our girls have enjoyed making something unique and handmade to gift their teachers.
The supplies I’m using are odds and ends I have been picking up when I see things on clearance.
First of all – y’all – they have these wreaths at the DOLLAR STORE! I did not know this and I have paid way more. Goodness.
No more – dollar store from now on.
I’ve been using felt pages that you can get for around .29 cents or less at the craft store, cut into strips and tied around the wreath.
These come in all kinds of colors – I just got white a while back since I didn’t know how I’d be using them.
The felt doesn’t cover all of the green foam, but I will likely fill in with some additional ribbon later.
Target clearance sections are sooo good on the ends of the aisles. I found all of these in the party section on clearance a few months ago.
For our wreaths, I like to start creating as I go – not worrying about it being perfect, but filling in whatever works! Using the pre-made craft items above helps make it go sooo much quicker.
We decided to do names on these wreaths.
Kayla had field day – and her face is face painted…that is faded. Ha.
And Kylie is photo bombing.
We aren’t finished with all of the wreaths, but we got a good start on this #funfriday for sure!
Our supplies were less than $10 total for all 4 wreaths and I’d say that’s pretty fantastic!!
(oh and if you’re one of the teachers getting these wreaths, you can totally act surprised) 🙂
