It’s #funfriday AND Earth Day!!
I told Brian we could just gather all of our plastic bags and teach the kiddos about recycling for fun…
Somehow, I’m the only one that thought that was fun 🙂
I decided it would be a great night to re-purpose some of our old peanut butter jars.
We have A LOT of old peanut butter jars…
Don’t you judge.
You’ve got your problems, and I’ve got mine!! Ha!
This is pretty much all I could eat when I was pregnant last year.
And I couldn’t bring myself to throw all those jars out. So, they just became a glass jar collection under the sink.
So, tonight we got two jars to do a fun project, inspired by Pinterest.
The Pinterest post that inspired me:
I had yellow paint and wanted to use these jars in the girls’ bathroom, so I didn’t go with black.
And I don’t have any of those fun handles or knobs.
So, I found these at the dollar store today.
We spray painted those bad boy birthday party favors white.
And the girls painted their lids yellow.
That was some intense painting.
We hot glued the plastic party favors to the tops.
Brian made fun and said he shouldn’t comment.
The lids needed more yellow paint, but I had no patience.
I was DONE with the project tonight.
Surely a little ribbon would help, right??
The girls helped me pick out the ribbon from my scrapbooking stash.
And these old peanut butter jars are the cutest addition to their fun bathroom!
And now I’m going to sit down and do nothing. For like all day tomorrow. 🙂
Happy weekend, friends!
