Our front porch is a mess. That is really an understatement.
Brian thought I should clean it off for today’s #makeovermonday project!
I laughed and told him he was CRAZYY!!!
Our bushes are high enough to hide the mess. And well, we finally took the Easter Eggs off the tree in the front yard… Our neighbors should be happy enough about that!!
I didn’t have enough time to clean off the porch, but I did tackle these 3 old dirty pots that have been sitting for way too long with dead plants.
As you can see from the photos, we have well more than 3 old pots with dead plants on the porch. You have to start somewhere, right??
I took them to the back yard and covered the table with an old tarp before breaking out the spray paint.
Here are the 2 colors I used for today’s project – both Valspar Metallics
Rose Gold and Brilliant Silver
And – TADAAAA!!!
They turned out soooo beautiful! I may just get up early tomorrow morning and clean off the front porch to paint some more!! I said MAYBE.
Here are the side by side comparisons.
Old ordinary clay pot turned Rose Gold.
Cheap ceramic pot from Wal-mart on clearance turned Rose Gold.
And THIS is my favorite – an ugly plastic container that plants come in when you buy them to put in the garden. This one is the cheapest of the cheapest containers that you’d probably throw away. Look at how cute it is painted Brilliant Silver!!
I’m so excited about revitalizing our front porch dead plant museum into a beautiful welcoming sanctuary! Maybe I’ll be brave enough to share photos next week 😉
