My grandmother had this little stool that sat in front of her 1950s vanity.
This is today’s #makeovermonday project!
Sorry – I don’t have a photo of the vanity – but soon!! It’s going to be added to Kayla and Kylie’s room as soon as I can get it painted.
Here is the dresser that is also part of the set.
I painted it white a few years ago.
Back to the stool.
First, I took the fabric seat off. And then I spray painted the wooden part.
Typically, I don’t use spray paint. I’m not that good with it. Usually I leave uneven spots and make a mess with runny paint lines. But, this wasn’t much painting and I needed to be done quickly. So spray painting was a much better option.
Here is what I used, only because it is what we had in the garage on the shelf 🙂
Then, I cut my fabric and used a staple gun to attach it to the back of the seat.
I made sure to pull it tight so there wouldn’t be wrinkles or lines.
And here you go! It’s now sitting in our girl’s bathroom at the vanity.
Now I’m motivated to get to work on grandma’s vanity to add to Kayla and Kylie’s room!
