Hello, my name is Starr.
And I’m NOT a person with a tidy home.
My husband and children can vouch for that. #truth
But, I read an article this week from one of my most favorite bloggers (The Nester) about people with tidy homes that has stayed in my mind long after reading. When that happens, I feel I should share the knowledge with my favorite people so it can get stuck in your head too! You’re welcome π

Here are the actions I’m taking on working towards tidy this #trashouttuesday :
- JUST START – doing something is better than nothing
- Start small with small goals, remember the domino effect
- Picking 2 things from the Nester’s list of 5 to start with – not leaving things on the floor and not letting the sun go down on my filth.
Of course I can’t get all the stuff off our floors before the sun goes down tonight….
But I can start with our bedroom – my favorite room in the house.
And tomorrow I can keep going.
How about you?
Do you have a tidy house or are you a cuddly clutter bug like me? (that sounds SOO much better than pack rat, don’t you agree?)
What are your secrets or goals in making your home more tidy? I’d love to hear!

I have a daily task I do. I clean my kitchen before I go to bed and do a load of laundry each day from start to finish.
Monday- bathrooms
Tuesday- bedrooms
Thursday- living room
Friday- dining room/ laundry room
Saturday- sweep, mop, dust and vacuum
Now it’s just two of us but trust me if I let it go it will get messy. I had the flu and then pneumonia and my house was a mess!
