Our Pastor used this scripture in church last week:

When the enemy comes in like a flood…haven’t we felt that kind of flood before?

The flood can seem hopeless.
The flood can seem never ending.
The flood can seem like darkness is taking over and we’re going to get swept away by the rushing waters all around.

Floods of sickness.
Floods of discouragement.
Floods of feeling like you’re never good enough.

But here’s what the Word promises –

The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him!

That’s available to me and to you, friends.

The Lord will tell Satan to GET LOST!

At the end of our Sunday service, we were singing the worship chorus, “He Touched Me” – look at these words:

He touched me, oh He touched me
And oh the joy that floods my soul
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole.

Did you catch that?

oh the joy that FLOODS my soul

When the enemy comes in like a flood, God gives joy that floods our souls in return.

How cool is that?!

Something the enemy uses with intention to destroy and take us under, God turns into pure JOY.

God, flood my soul with Your joy tonight.
