It’s official – I’ve joined the adult coloring book craze!
Before I had Brock, I went through an intense time of stress with our work and family. One of the nurses recommended coloring to de-stress.
I decided to buy a book I came across at Sam’s Club.
Then, we had a baby and things got crazier than ever and I waited until Christmas night to actually pick the book up and start coloring.
Oh my goodness, I loved it!
I finally finished my first page last night.
And then, I decided to start another page – but this time I picked an easier one hahah!
I love that this page has white space around it. I’m thinking of adding a scripture and framing this one for one of my girls to put on the wall in their room.
So, this morning I invited Kayla and Kylie to each pick a page out of my book and we colored together!
This is my latest page in progress:
For today’s #shareitsaturday I wanted to let you know about several books I found online if you’d like to try out the adult coloring craze! I especially love these books because they all incorporate scripture!
[Beauty in the Bible, amazon.com]
[Color the Psalms, amazon.com]
[Whatever is Lovely, amazon.com]
If you want to browse books in stores, you can find them at almost any craft store (JoAnn’s, Michael’s, Hobby Lobby – make sure you use a coupon!!) or at Walmart or Target. Look in the book or magazine sections.
I’ve been using mostly markers for my books. I just used what we had laying around the house – a set of cheap markers from IKEA and an art kit that one of my girls got for a gift at some point.
I’d love to see any of your coloring creations, share them via text or Facebook!

Hahah Joyce, Brian made sure to point out your comment as soon as he saw it. I may or may not have spent a few hours or so coloring over the past couple of days… 🙂 I’ve enjoyed the mental break. I needed it!!

I almost bought one of these online last pm. I loved coloring when little and did so again in college with a great A&P book for learning that stuff! I am thrilled this is a thing again.
