The busy weekend is coming to an end and Christmas is upon us in just a few short days! Can you believe it is already here?
As I sit down at my little keyboard tonight and #slowitdownSunday, I want to write down words to our middle daughter, Kylie. She turned 4 years old today and goodness…the years have flown by!!
Dearest Kylie LeAnne,
You are my Christmas baby, sweetheart! You were actually due on December 25th and came into our world on December 20, 2011.
I’ll never forget bringing you home Christmas Eve that year – what a present God sent us! You’ve taught me so much in your 4 short years.
You’ve taught me perseverance.
You’ve shown me unconditional love.
You remind me often that you love me – daily 🙂
You’ve always been honest about when I’m beautiful, and when I’m not so beautiful!
You’ve taught us how to be parents, in ways we couldn’t have imagined.
You’ve shown us what it’s like to NEVER GIVE UP!
Your passion and strong will are 2 qualities I’m so thankful for.
As we go into your 5th year, I want to pray this special verse over your life:
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. – Numbers 6:24-26
I’m actually praying that peace for all of us 🙂
We need all the peace we can get, that’s for sure!!
I’m praying that all of us take time to slow down this week and soak in the true meaning of Christmas. I want peace in the midst of chaos, moments and memories to cherish for a lifetime.
And sleep. I want sleep 🙂
