#shareitsaturday / how to display Christmas cards

I’m such a sucker for Christmas cards!! I love love love to get them (and I will give you my address if you want to drop one in the mail!!!). I try my very best to get ours in the mail to friends and family each year BEFORE the 25th πŸ™‚

How do you hang or display your Christmas cards?

Last year, I put them all on a wall that you pass walking into the living room and kitchen. And I didn’t take a picture, but here you can see it behind Brian playing some minute-to-win-it game at our New Year’s party!!

That wall is now our chalk wall, so not doing that again this year.

My mother in law likes to line the wall with her Christmas cards in the kitchen.

This year, I’ve decided to hang them on the wall when you walk in the door.

Note: above you can see all of the over achievers that have mailed their Christmas cards wayyyy BEFORE the rest of us procrastinators!!!

I took some red and white twine that I found in the dollar section at Target and looped it around two nails that were already in the wall. I taped the rest of the string to the wall with washi tape.

Then, I attached washi tape to the cards and looped it over the twine to connect them.

And can we all take a look at this adorable card from “The Riffle Bunch”!!!

Also, one of my very favorite things to do in the winter is get cranberries and put them in water with tea light candles! It makes such a festive decoration and will last for several weeks in the water (you may just need to change out the water a few times).

I grab a few bags of cranberries every winter and keep them in the freezer.

I’d love to hear from you on this #shareitsaturday – have any fun ways to display your cards? Let me know!

  1. Hey Starr
I love tying ribbon around each door and drawer pull in my kitchen. I also tape my Christmas cards to the cabinets in the kitchen. I spend a lot of time in my kitchen and it makes me happy to have bows and cards everywhere in there with me! When company comes, we congregate in the kitchen and they are read by my family and friends as we enjoy each other!
I love all your posts! Thanks for sharing daily!

  2. Because I have been busy wrapping gifts the last two days I am playing catch up on your blog. I love Christmas cards but sadly we do not get but few each year! I think it’s becoming less and less common! Maybe I will go grab an assorted box or cards and decorate with them! HA!!
