#funfriday / we’re BACK! And it’s time for pumpkins!

Hi friends! I’m back and #funfriday is here wooohooooo!!

I’ve missed everyone sooo much. Thank you for your patience, prayers and well wishes while I took some time to get much needed rest.

Our family is finally on the mend, although poor little Kayla caught a stomach bug from a friend at school and lost last night’s mexican dinner in daddy’s truck on the way to school this morning….

Ewww. Real life here, people.

She spent the day on the couch watching unlimited Netflix shows and I think she’s gonna be ok 🙂

With all the chaos of the past few weeks, we haven’t even had a chance to think about getting pumpkins for our front porch. This has always been a family tradition and I really had hoped to get out to a local pumpkin farm. But, I’m learning to adjust to life and be realistic and not let myself go crazy. AMEN? Amen!

Being completely HONEST – y’all know this is how I REALLY feel:

HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

For today’s #funfriday adventure, we’ll simply stop by a local pumpkin stand – and HEY – here’s the best part: they are all trying to GET RID of those pumpkins now!! We’ll get our pumpkins SUPER cheap this year!! LOL.

Then, we’ll head home and proceed to do something with them – paint, carve, whatever man.

If you haven’t done anything with your pumpkins yet either, here are several ideas I’ve gathered on Pinterest that are really cool!!

We’ll post our lovely pumpkin creations via Facebook later tonight 🙂

Happy Friday and happy pumpkin time to you, friends!

  1. YAY! So good to see you. And know you are feeling better. We did our pumpkin last night. I think it’s the most ambitious yet. I will try to remember to post a pic somewhere. LOL. Praying for Kayla. G

    1. I can’t wait to see, Gina!! 🙂 I don’t know if we’ll be all that ambitious this year hahaha! Thank you for praying for Kayla!

  2. Hi Starr, I’m so glad you’re feeling better and are back! We have 1 pumpkin that might not get carved until tomorrow! You are so patient waiting until the day after Thanksgiving to put up your Christmas tree. This is my favorite time of year that we usually have our tree up for Thanksgiving day! I know I’m crazy! 😆

    1. I wouldn’t consider me the patient kind, Theresa!! I mostly wait because I like to go to a tree farm to get our tree and most of those don’t open until the day after Thanksgiving – but I have NO problem leaving it up til March Hahahah!!! 🙂

    1. Didn’t ever figure that out 🙁 I think it was a really bad sinus infection that spiraled out of control and started spreading. Not fun at all!
