Hello friends, I’m alive!

Up until last Wednesday, I had written every single day in my little corner of the internet called “The Daily Starr”. 385 consecutive days to be exact…but who’s counting??

I wrote through holidays.
I wrote through vacations.
I wrote through sleeplessness.
I wrote through some really fun times with our family.
Gosh, I even wrote through having a baby – and honestly, that was no big deal.
I wrote – and I wrote.
Simply – to become a writer.

And I ended up loving curling up to this little keyboard everyday. It has become my creative escape. And actually a pretty cool way to document our family’s everyday experiences for my kids to one day look back on and remember. Unexpectedly, it has become a way for me to give back, too.

Then, I got admitted to the hospital this past Wednesday and specifically into the ICU for 2 days.

I didn’t write.

I didn’t do much of anything myself, except breathe.

And go to the bathroom – because, I’m sorry – a bed pan has to be the most awful thing in this entire universe!!!!! 🙂

So for those of you that aren’t on Facebook and wondered what happened to me – I wanted to drop a note tonight and tell you that I’m alive.

I’ll explain everything that happened in the coming days  – just know that I’ve been very sick. More sick than I’ve ever been in my life and I wish this upon NO ONE ever!

I’m home resting – actually resting. For real. Y’all. I’m not just saying that.

This is hard for me.

But, I’m doing what I need to do right now in order to get myself better – so I can “paint things white” and bring back my favorite “makeovermondays” soon 🙂

Give me a few more days, and I’ll be back to my favorite little corner of the internet.

And I hope you’ll meet me back here too!

Thank you isn’t enough for all of the prayers, cards, calls, texts, messages, etc. I’ve seen whispers from God through friends and their encouragement these past few days. I’m forever grateful.

Love you!
