31 Days of Giveaways / #1wordwednesday JESUS

Jesus.
Jesus.
Jesus.

There’s just something about that name.

Master.
Savior.
Jesus.

Like the fragrance after the rain.

Jesus.
Jesus.
Jesus.

Let all heaven and earth proclaim.
Kings and kingdoms will all pass away.
But there’s something about that name.

There’s Something About That Name by William J and Gloria Gaither

Sometimes we need a reminder that there is power in the name of JESUS.

We can call on the name of Jesus anytime.
We have the freedom to cry out loud to Jesus.
We have access directly to the throne of heaven at the mention of His name – JESUS.

That’s a pretty awesome word for #1wordwednesday, right?

No matter what we’re facing today, the Bible promises us this truth:

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

– John 14:13

Jesus, today I ask that You work in the midst of our everyday lives. From the moment we open our eyes, til the moment we lay down for rest – I ask that You make Yourself known to us. Help us to cry out to You when we need help. Let the simple mention of Your name bring peace, understanding, strength and calmness. Work in the uncertainty. Work in the impossible – in the name of Jesus!

Today’s giveaway is a bright reminder of that name.

  1. Love this! How wonderful to just call his name and know he hears us! I was diagnosed with a progressive nerve disease in my face a couple of months ago and am trusting Jesus to walk with me through this journey.

  2. Wow…..I love this post, they all seem to bring me into the presence of God and to the place of worship to Him. I have had 24 hours of fear, although I was trying to have faith. I was scared and trying to believe and trust. I am thankful for faithful prayer warriors and I was trusting God for peace and healing. Well I can say praise the Lord because there truly has been a miracle. A mass seen just Monday was gone today. The doctor said he couldn’t explain why it wasn’t there because it was seen in several views the first time. I said I can explain it. So now I trust God for a stronger faith in me and to be all He wants me to be.

    1. A HUGE smile came across my face when this comment showed up today in my email!! We’ve been lifting you up, girlfriend!! So thankful that we serve an AWESOME God that still answers prayers. Thankful for you and your testimony!

  3. On the way to dinner tonight the kids and I were involved in a bump up. No one was hurt but it was very scary and could have been so much worse. We were hit from behind. The young father who hit us was so scared and all he could talk about was getting home to his 1 month old. I felt so badly for him. I was so careful to treat with with respect and both of my adult children were so kind to him. He did not get a ticket but it was his fault so we exchanged insurance info. He hugged us all before he left and continued to apologize. However, the one thing I didn’t say to him was Jesus. I so hope he saw it in us!!!!

    1. Wow, Dale! Tonight as I prayed for our church choir at practice, that same thought came to my mind. Sometimes we don’t have to say a word – let our actions and our witness shine through in who we are each and every day. Let it shine so much that others see Jesus in everything we do. So glad you all are ok!

  4. I got behind this week in reading your blog, just catching up! My word right now is gratitude. God is faithful and I’m so grateful for this journey of life.
