31 Days of Giveaways / #funfriday glow in the dark adventures

It’s………… #funfriday time, y’all!

We love us some glow sticks around here.

And the best part about glow sticks? You can find a HUGE selection at the Dollar Tree!

Last weekend, I threw in a few glow sticks for our #funfriday Indoor Family Camp-out and the girls were still playing with the glow sticks on Sunday (even with no glow left!).

I don’t have any photos of the glow sticks, but here is what our Indoor Family Camp-out looked like in the living room:

We’re heading out for our annual fall trip to the beach with my parents on Friday morning, so my plan for #funfriday this week is to have a bit of fun with glow sticks on the beach!

I found each of these ideas via Pinterest and added them to my fun Friday board:

  1. My favorite memory with flow sticks would have to be a more recent one, forth of July 2014 I introduced them to the boys and they loved them! Daniel wanted it to be dark all the time so he could see them lol it was too cute 🙂

  2. We love glow sticks!! We just decorated our golf carts in the mountains with them and went joy riding in the campground with them!! Also- did you know if you stick them in the freezer when you are done with them for the night , the glow preserves and is good for round 2 the next night???!!!

    1. I can TOTALLY see your sweet family in the golfcarts!! You were the reason I picked some up last weekend and the girls had a blast with them. On the beach was even more fun than I thought it would be. They could run like crazy and play and toss the rings all over the place! I think we’ll have to do this every beach trip now 🙂 AND Brian is putting our glow sticks in the fridge right now hahah!

      1. We did the glow sticks at the beach to tag our kids so we wouldn’t have to get off our chairs!!! We would just see glowing ankles and know where they were! Lazy parenting!!

  3. Glow sticks are so much fun! I remember having them with us at Disney World during the night show – and I had one of those toys that when you press the button the top glows and spins. So much fun!

These are all great ideas, too. When my little one is older, she would love these activities!

  4. We use to put lightening bugs in a jar and let them glow but then I would feel sorry for them and let them go!!!! See you SOON!!!!

    1. Ha yes – you ARE the bomb! And I’m not that creative – a lot of these ideas are from Pinterest searching hahah – but I highly recommend. We had a blast!

  5. Every year we are at church camp over the 4th. So, my bestie and I buy lots of glow sticks, at Dollar Tree of course, and give them out to the kids after dark. It’s awesome to see all of them scattered out when we start fireworks. It makes it easy to find all of the kids too!! Lol.
