This month on #trashouttuesday it’s all about storage solutions for your home!
Today marks our last Tuesday in this series and the topic is all about scarves & belts.
September Storage Solutions Week 5: Scarves and Belts in the Closet
Truth: Here is the current situation that IS my closet door –
I’m not even brave enough at the moment to show you what my entire closet looks like 🙁
Here is the back side of the same door:
It’s been like this for a few years and just keeps getting worse.
I have belts, scarves, robes, and even clothes on that door.
Time to fix this hot mess!!
First, I took down all of the many robes. Why oh why do I have so many robes>???
And then, the scarves:
I even had scarves stuffed in my shoe cubbies….I. Don’t. Know. Why. Don’t. Even. Ask.
Fall is here and it’s the perfect time to start wearing these beautiful scarves again – but, I don’t wear them if I can’t even see them all!!
Then I pulled out all of the belts from high school and college that I know I will NEVER wear again, people! YAYYY says Brian 🙂
Now, this is more like it and the belts I’m actually keeping fit nicely on the hooks.
For my scarves, my mom gave me these adorable flower scarf organizers that she found at Target for Christmas a few years ago. And me. Well, I’ve just had them hanging in my closet for a few years with NO SCARVES! Go figure.
That’s more like it!!
I filled up one flower and now it hangs perfectly along side my hanging clothes.
The flower organizers came in a set of 2 – so I filled the second one.
If you don’t have a nifty scarf flower, I found this awesome idea on Pinterest for using a regular hanger and shower curtain rings!!
How do you store your scarves and belts? I’d love to hear about any other ideas you have used that work well in your own closet.
Now if I could just find a way to get rid of the static in those scarves. Any ideas on that??
