It’s #1wordwednesday, friends!

We all want to leave one.

What will it be?

A question has been stirring around in my mind over the past few weeks….who will pray for my children if I don’t???

I am their biggest advocate.
I am their strongest supporter.
God has given me the ability to bring them to Him every single day.
No one else on this earth will care for them as much as me and their dad.

My greatest legacy is to pray for my children – every single day.

I know this is true, because I know that the legacy of prayer has been passed down to me by my parents and grandparents.

This week has been full of memories and the thought of family legacy. Yesterday would have been my grandmother Glennie’s birthday and today would have been my granny Eunice’s birthday.

Two amazing women.
Two amazing legacies.
Two women of prayer.
Two ladies who loved Jesus.
Two strong ladies who never gave up.

They prayed for me. They prayed for our family. They left a legacy of prayer.

  1. My word is hunger. I want that hunger for God to be strong again. I feel like in the last couple weeks I have been doing the bare minimum and I want to be overcome by his spirit again! I’m hungry God, fill me with passion and your spirit again!

“Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:21‬ ‭

  2. My word is heritage. God gave me a rich heritage with my grandparents and parents. I want the same for my children and grandchildren.

  3. Content.
I want to be content with what he has given me, quit looking at what everyone else has. This seems petty, but I am struggling with this a lot lately in more than one area of my life. God has blessed me and I am fully aware and I praise Him for those blessings and I am happy. Amen!

  4. This is soooo true. And it is something that I feel is so much harder with social media these days. We have the ability to see what EVERYONE around us is doing 24/7 – and it gives way to comparing ourselves to what they have, what they do, what they look like. Brian reminds me ALLL the time – you can’t compare your insides to someone else’s outsides. Content. I am right there with you on this one. I will be praying for both of us this week!!
