#1wordwednesday / is God trying to GROW you too?

Think you’re too old to GROW?

Think again.

God surely has me in a state to GROW.

How about you?

the daily Starr 1 word wednesday grow lysa terkeurst quotes

This quote from Lysa TerKeurst hit me hard this week.

Yes, God really really really wants me to GROW!

My calling? Oh, yeah. He’s still working on me. He’s got to develop the character that is Starr Haigler into the calling that He has set forth just for me. And He’s doing that every single day – every single circumstance along the way.

Lysa points out these two verses in her book “Am I Messing Up My Kids?”:

Psalm 139:7-10
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

James 1:2-4
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

I also like to go back to this verse where Paul urges us to live a life worthy of our calling:

How about you, friends?

Is God working to grow you in this season of life?

I’m praying that He leads each of us into daily experiences that lead us closer to Him and what He has set out for us to do.

Much love to you on this #1wordwednesday!

  1. Listen is my word today. I need to listen and hear what God is trying to tell me. He may have to shout a little louder. Maybe I need 2 words today maybe I need Quiet too.
