#1wordwednesday / would you help me PRAY?

“Let us never forget to PRAY.
God lives.
He is near.
He is real.
He is not only aware of us but cares for us.
He is our Father.
He is accessible to all who will seek Him.”
― Gordon B. Hinckley

This isn’t what I had planned for today’s #1wordwednesday, but God has a way of interrupting our everyday lives and when I don’t know what to do, I PRAY.

Our family has been dealing with some serious sickness for the past 2 weeks and the dreaded stomach bug that no one ever wants or wishes on anyone else has hit me in the past few hours.

I’d be so grateful if you remember our family when you PRAY tonight. PRAY for healing.

There’s also another situation weighing on my heart tonight as my cousin and his wife are in the air at this very moment on their way to China to meet their baby girl! Would you PRAY for SAFETY for Casey and Kristin? They will be there for 3 weeks and then travel home as a family of 3. They are scheduled to meet their little girl this coming Sunday evening or Monday. They would certainly love to have prayer at this moment!

What can I PRAY for you about tonight, friends?

That’s what #1wordwednesday has become for me: a time to focus, to seek God and to remember those He has brought into my life.

I’m grateful for you and this community God has given for such a time as this.

I’m praying for you, too.

  1. My word is Peace. I need some peace in some situations I’m facing. Pray for me also as I have the horrible cold/sinus thing that’s going around. I will be in prayer for you.

  2. Praying for you, Casey, and Kristin. My one word is reflection. Tomorrow I will reflect on forty years of marriage and remember all the amazing works of my Lord and Savior.

  3. Starr.. Thank you for praying for Kristin and Casey. I have a lump in my throat that will not go away until I see them walking back into our Airport..I know Jesus is holding them in the palm of His Hands..but He knows that I’m just a mom and He knows how mom’s are! So I will pray and I will be patient.. knowing He’s got this!
    Love you!

    1. So glad they landed safely! Will continue to be in prayer throughout their journey – YES, He’s totally got this!! Love you, too!

  4. I am a little late on the one word Wednesday but I did want to ask you to pray for me as I am planning for my September wedding. At 40 its hard to rearrange life and make room for a new life with someone else. However I can no longer imagine life alone, without him. I have happiness again. He is everytging I ever wanted and needed but had accepted I would never find. Pray that I will be a wonderful wife and companion.

    1. It’s never too late to comment, Melody!! So glad you shared and so excited for you and the journey ahead! Praying that God continues to guide your every step and that you start a marriage that always puts God first – that makes ALLL the difference in the world!
