#1wordwednesday / F O U N T A I N

It’s that time again – hump day!!!  I’m here for #1wordwednesday – simple.

Today’s word?     F O U N T A I N        as in…

Wouldn’t we all choose to be a fountain over a drain any day?

I mean really.

Fountains are pretty.
People sit by fountains and watch them.
Fountains attract little kids that want to pitch pennies and quarters while they make wishes.
Fountains, ahhhh.

Just look at these cuties in front of the fountain:

People spit in them. The yucky stuff from the street ends up going down the drains. They collect the runoff. And just being honest – the ones in our house full of girls tend to get clogged full of hair…GROSS!

No. Just no.

And I don’t have any photos of my daughters beside the drain…just sayin’!

I’m working towards the fountain, myself.

How about you?

What’s your #1wordwednesday for today? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!

  1. My 1 word is gentleness.
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭1‬ NIV)
I want to speak gentle, It’s so easy to speak harsh and complain about almost any and everything! I want to step back and learn to speak gently.

  2. My one word is sooooo thankful. We have been praying for quite a long time for specific neighbors to move in to a house across the street from us. A family with kids, that are Christians and if it was God’s will that they also go to Elevation. So tonight when I got home from working out there was a family looking at the house. They saw my Elevation sticker on my van and we started talking. This family goes to Elevation and seem to be awesome Christian people. Super friendly. Our kids got along right away. I even told them they were an answer to prayer. (Now they probably think I’m the crazy neighbor.) Oh well, I was just too excited.
