Time for #trashouttuesday on the blog, friends!
In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I would like to introduce you to an amazing organization that you can support and go GREEN by recycling your dress clothes to women who really need them!
Have you ever heard of Dress For Success?
Dress for Success was founded in New York City in 1997. Dress for Success Charlotte is one of 130 affiliates in 16 countries of the worldwide Dress for Success organization. Dress for Success has suited more than 600,000 women since 1997. Dress for Success Charlotte was incorporated in 2000 and works in partnership with over 45 Referral Agency Partners. In 2013, 950 women were referred to Dress for Success Charlotte and 877 accessed at least one of its many programs or services.
Our purpose is to offer long-lasting solutions that enable women to break the cycle of poverty. Dress for Success is part of a global movement for change, empowering women to obtain safer and better futures.
We provide each client with professional attire to secure employment, but we are about much more than simply a new outfit. Besides physically equipping the client with apparel and accessories, our programs furnish her with a confidence that she carries forever and the knowledge that she can actively define her life, the direction she takes and what success means to her.
Here’s the best part: Dress for Success is a national organization – so that means that you can more than likely find one near you to support!

As part of the #ReverseLentChallenge, I’ve already gathered several items from my closet to drop off at my local Dress for Success. If you’re local and you have items to add to my stash, let me know – I’ll be happy to take them for drop off!
Proverb of the Day:
Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent. [Proverbs 17:28 ESV]
