#1wordwednesday / still

I read an article earlier this morning from the (in)courage daily devotionals that really spoke to me.

It is called, “The Courage to Be Still: When God Wants Your Surrender Not Your Strength”

All day, the thought about being STILL has stirred inside my soul. Yes, God does want my surrender instead of my strength. I am that person that thrives on doing, doing, doing and not really ever sitting still. Ever been there?

I absolutely love this verse that the devotional pointed out:

“Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” {Isaiah 40:30-31, ESV}

I pray that we all find time to be STILL tonight and surrender to God whatever He is prompting in this season of our lives.

What’s your #1wordwednesday for this week, friend?

Proverb of the Day:
The godly are directed by honesty; the wicked fall beneath their load of sin. [Proverbs 11:5 NLT]
