As I drove through the mountains of North Carolina today, I was reminded about what I find when looking to the heavens.
God is all around us. In the heavens. In the mountains. In the valleys.
There’s an old song that goes like this:
Life is easy, when you’re up on the mountain
And you’ve got peace of mind, like you’ve never known.
But things change, when you’re down in the valley.
Don’t lose faith, for you’re never alone.
For the God on the mountain, is the God in the valley.
When things go wrong, He’ll make them right.
And the God of the good times
is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day is still God in the night.

As we all take a little time to #slowitdownSunday, I pray that these words encourage you as much as they do me.
If you’ve never heard of the old Southern Gospel group called The McKameys, well, here you go! Enjoy 🙂
Proverb of the Day:
The Lord formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else. I was appointed in ages past, at the very first, before the earth began. [Proverbs 8:22-23 NLT]
