#slowitdownSunday / March prayer list & fear not

Today is the first Sunday of March – time to #slowitdownSunday and jot down our monthly prayer list.

It’s super easy to join us:

  1. Grab a pen and a piece of paper.
  2. Write down every person and situation that comes to mind.
  3. Keep your prayer list somewhere in front of you to remind you throughout the month – in the kitchen above the sink, in your journal, in your Bible, etc.
  4. See God move in your life and the lives of others as you lift these requests up throughout the month of March!

One thing I’m adding to my prayer list this month revolves around this scripture our Pastor preached on today at church:

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

I’m really struggling with my emotions, my reactions and negative thinking. Today, I prayed at the altar and asked God to help me in each of these areas. Every time I want to criticize or react in a way that doesn’t reflect Jesus, I need this scripture to come alive in me. I know that fear, criticism and negativity doesn’t come from God.

God gives power.
God gives love.
God gives a sound mind.

How can I pray for you this month? Share below in the comments or send me a personal note at starrhaigler@gmail.com. I’ve added each of you to my list, but if I can pray for you in a specific way – let me know!

Proverb of the Day:
But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm. [Proverbs 1:33 NLT]
