#slowitdownSunday / who needs a quiet retreat?

psalm 119 114 the daily Starr

24 HOURS.

1,440 MINUTES.

86,400 SECONDS.

Do your hours, minutes, or seconds include quiet retreats? Too often my good intentions get the best of me and before I know it days have slipped by without them. That is usually when I find myself most frustrated and on the edge of tears for any reason and no reason at all.

It’s hard for me to be quiet. (((shocker)))

And it’s oh so hard to wait. (((can I get an amen??)))

I’m thankful for this simple reminder tonight that God is the only place I can truly find a quiet retreat. When the pressures and demands of this life get the best of me, He is my refuge. His Word is my comfort and in Him will I wait and find the renewal that I so badly need.

“You’re my quiet retreat; I wait for your word to renew me.” Psalm 119:114 MSG

Proverb of the Day:
I, Wisdom, live together with good judgment. I know where to discover knowledge and discernment. All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech. [Proverbs 8:12-13 NLT}
