Here’s our family’s list of the VERY BEST children’s books ever written (that we’ve read anyways..haha):

#1 – And my personal favorite: You Are Special by Max Lucado

You are Special the best childrens books the daily starr

You will love the story. You will cry. You will think differently about our maker. This story is one you will want to read over and over – adults and children alike.

#2 – Someday by Alison McGhee

A book all about love and dreams and potential and a mother’s love. You will cry, again.

#3 – The Crippled Lamb by Max Lucado

This is the story of a crippled lamb – one that God had a very special purpose for. Get your Kleenex ready, y’all. We even used this book as the story for our Children’s Christmas play at church one year. This book will remind you that we all are made for a special purpose.

Special thanks to my beautiful book models – aren’t they cute? It’s Kayla and Kylie #1!!!

There you go! These books make FABULOUS gifts for new babies, old babies, graduation, Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day. I’ve given them to the young and old alike.

What’s some of your favorite children’s books? I’d love to add to our list. Comment below and share with us!

  1. I don’t remember if Andrew had a particular one that was his favorite. Anything science related. He carried the Wonder Why Science Encyclopedia around with him for years. Angel’s favorite was Great Day For Up. We read that book so much that I had it memorized. We read it until the cover fell off. Precious memories. Makes me miss my kids being little!!! But I don’t want to start over. Lolol
