#slowitdownSunday / monthly prayer list – GO!

#slowitdownSunday: Be intentional. Create moments to unrush if you haven’t already today.

I’m starting a new Sunday tradition this new year – one that I’ve done sporadically but never as part of a routine…

I sat down for a few minutes tonight and created a prayer list for the month of January – people and situations that have been on my mind that I don’t want to forget about. I wrote it on one page in my journal so that I could keep it in front of me and in my purse to access easily.

As I thought about a few specific prayers, this verse kept coming to my mind tonight:

Ephesians 3 20 the daily starr

How about join me this year on the first Sunday of each month and make your own monthly prayer list? Let’s keep our friends, loved ones and the situations of our lives in front of us and bring them to God often.

The greatest tragedy in life is the prayers that go unanswered simply because they go unasked. – Mark Batterson in Draw the Circle

How cool will it be to look back at the end of 2015 and see how many ways God has answered our prayers this year?

Go do it now! ๐Ÿ™‚

Proverb of the Day:
Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life. [Proverbs 4:13 NLT]

  1. One thing I learned from our 40 day prayer challenge is to keep a prayer journal. I have it close when I do my prayer time. I have been keeping it for months and have a place to write down answered prayers too. I think it is great to see how God is working.
