#slowitdownSunday / don’t waste the gift of this day

#slowitdownSunday: Be intentional. Create moments to unrush if you haven’t already today.

First of all, can I just ask this: Who had the idea for the stage and the microphones for Christmas??? Ahhhhhhhhh – y’all. My house is LOUD!

But, I don’t want to waste the gift of this day, or the gift of those little munchkins in there blaring out Frozen tunes at the top of their lungs, off key 😉

I love this quote I found today on Christine Caine’s Instagram [Note: You should follow her if you don’t – such an inspiring, Jesus filled chick :)]:

Yes. Not everyone got the gift that you and I have of waking up on earth today.

How many times do we take that for granted? I know I do all too often.

As I sit here reflecting on this last Sabbath of 2014, this prayer from Lysa TerKeurst is on my mind [You should totally follow her too!]:

lysa terkeurst prayer

Yes. Let’s say Yes to God – no matter what 2015 brings!

Are you in?

James 4:14 in the New Living Translation says this:

james 4 14 the daily starr

Lord, no matter what comes – I say yes to You! I don’t want to live a day without You and I don’t want to waste the gift of today. I know that my life is like the morning fog – here for a little while and then gone. Help me to make the most of my time here. Let it be for Your Glory and Your Honor! Amen!

Proverb of the Day:
Justice makes no sense to the evilminded; those who seek God know it inside and out. [Proverbs 28:5 MSG]
