#makeovermonday: wall color BAMMM!
We moved into our house 8 years ago this week. I wanted bold paint colors and we covered almost every single wall before we even moved in.
I found a crazy pattern for a striped wall and convinced Brian that we should give it a try. After many late nights and LOTS of Mt. Dew, we had THE WALL!
We measured and penciled in ALLL of those lines. And the stripes are different sizes. And the colors had a pattern – and the green paint had gold shimmers mixed in – saaaaweeeet!
Now, 8 years later…it was time to say goodbye to the wall.
Here’s the front part of the room before, which also we just recently converted to our office from a formal living room. The dark furniture just wasn’t doing it for me in this space.
We selected a Sherwin Williams Color: Comfort Gray
Here’s walking into the house while the painter was still here:
Was this still our house????
I could not even believe how 2 cans of paint can totally TRANSFORM a space!
A few months later, I’m starting to finally get the room put back together 🙂
This is where you can find me writing these blogs most days – sitting at the old ugly wood table I got for free and painted white 🙂
I’ve even fallen in LOVE with dark furniture again.
If you want a low cost way to transform a space – try out a new paint color. Pick something totally different from what you have currently. Don’t worry, if you hate it – you can always paint it again!
