Small makeovers in your home and life to make things a bit more exciting and enthusiastically creative__________________
I have discovered a new love for painting over the past year. I think I get it from my Grandmother! Every time we ventured to her home, she would have just painted the house, or the garage, or the kitchen, or well ANYTHING!
We even found notes in her house with the paint colors and dates painted! I sure do miss that lady…and I discover that I’m more like her every single day.
For today’s #makeovermonday I’m sharing a few painting projects that I’ve done in recent weeks.
Here’s a large metal wall hanging that we inherited as part of a set of furniture we purchased. The colors have never really fit into our home decor, so one Sunday afternoon I grabbed the paintbrush:
And here’s the finished product in our dining room now:
As you can see I also tackled some of my grandmother’s “ugly lamps” as I call them! They were hideous. So, now they are white and beautiful!!
Here’s the only white paint I use when painting furniture:
Valspar Exterior Primer – White
Straight off the shelf at Lowe’s with no mixing!
I never sand, just paint 🙂
Go and paint white, friends!
